1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Nycto mobile app, the Nycto website, and related support interactions. Nycto is a focus, time tracking, planning, and personal insights app. It is designed for personal productivity records, not advertising profiles.
2. Information Nycto may handle
Nycto may store or process information you enter or generate while using the app, including:
- Objectives, categories, colors, icons, notes, and app preferences.
- Focus sessions, manual time logs, timer state, streaks, and session history.
- Planned blocks, calendar-style entries, linked events, and planned-versus-tracked totals.
- Optional context such as sleep entries, location labels, or other categories if you choose to enable those features.
- Support information you choose to send, such as screenshots, feedback, diagnostics, or your contact details.
The website may receive standard technical information from your browser, such as IP address, device type, browser type, pages viewed, referring page, and timestamps. This information is used for hosting, security, and basic operation of the site.
3. Local storage, sync, and platform services
Nycto is intended to keep personal time records under your control. App data may be stored locally on your device. If you use operating-system backup, device migration, cloud backup, calendar permissions, health permissions, or other platform services, those services may process data according to their own settings and privacy policies.
If Nycto offers optional sync, backup, account, analytics, crash reporting, or paid features in a future release, the policy should be updated to describe the provider, purpose, and user controls for that feature.
4. How we use information
Nycto uses information to provide and improve the app experience, including to:
- Run timers, save focus sessions, and calculate objective totals.
- Show day, week, month, and all-time summaries.
- Display planned-versus-tracked progress, streaks, and recent history.
- Respond to support requests and troubleshoot app issues.
- Maintain website security, performance, and reliability.
Nycto does not sell your personal information. Nycto does not use your focus history, sleep context, location labels, or objectives for third-party advertising.
7. Retention and deletion
App data is generally kept for as long as you keep it in Nycto or as long as it remains in your device backups. You can delete sessions, objectives, or other app data using available in-app controls. You can also remove the app from your device and manage device backups through your operating-system settings.
Support messages are retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain records, and improve the product.
8. Your choices
- You can choose what objectives, sessions, planned blocks, and notes to create.
- You can decline optional permissions such as calendar, health, or location if those features are offered.
- You can delete app data through in-app controls where available.
- You can manage cloud backups, device permissions, and diagnostics in your device settings.
9. Children
Nycto is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You should keep your device, passcode, cloud account, and backups secure.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Nycto evolves. When we make changes, we will revise the last updated date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the app, website, or app store listing.
12. Contact
For privacy questions, contact the developer through the support channel listed on Nycto's app store page or repository profile.
